Winch driven customized cutter suction dredger
Cutter suction dredger
Cutter suction dredger uses a cutter to loosen the underwater material to be excavated, and pump the excavated material through an onshore pipeline or barge. While the dredge is driven by the winch, the powerful cutter swings on the swing rod driven by the winch around the vertical rod, and then the high-pressure sand pump sucks the loose mixture through the suction pipe to the destination. The cutter suction dredger is suitable for heavy-duty dredging operations with detachable structure.
The cutter suction dredger is often easily designed to be transported by road, rail or ship due to its reasonable size and weight of various detachable modules. The complete cutter suction dredger consists of a main pontoon bridge and two side pontoon bridges. The two pontoon bridges are installed on the main pontoon bridge through heavy steel eyes and pins on the bottom of the hull, and they are connected at the deck height. The pontoon is a welded steel structure with heavy frames, beams and longitudinal beams. When dredging, if necessary, additional steel bars can be placed to withstand all the forces. Cutter suction dredgers are widely used for river silt cleaning, lake and pond decontamination, mining projects, port cleaning and sand making.
